After my desk crit with my professor, it was back to the drawing board. Helpful as always, my professor suggested that I redo my storyboard and add motion lines, especially since there’s a bit of a learning curve with Adobe After Effects since I never used this software before. Although I added my original storyboard tiles to After Effects and organized them after class last week, I redid my storyboard and spent some time learning more about storyboards, familiarizing myself with terminology, and adding motion lines. I really appreciated the opportunity to revisit my material. When I was finished with my storyboard, I used some additional time to watch tutorials on Adobe.com and learn the basics of After Effects, and complete various exercises. Although our professor reviewed these same basics during class last week, it was really helpful to do it on my own, too. I am feeling more confident about building my kinetic typography out in After Effects over the next couple of weeks.
